US quarters in the 50 state quarters program were minted 1999 through 2008, 5 states per year, in the order that the states were ratified into the Union.The obverse of the coin was designed by John Flanagan, and features a bust of George Washington, “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA”, “LIBERTY”, “IN GOD WE TRUST”, and “QUARTER DOLLAR”.
