The DetailsThis Cowboy Hat Ultra Mega Set includes everything you need to make coin cowboy hats from US Pennies, US Nickels, US Dimes, US Quarters & US Half Dollars (besides a torch for annealing and a press).Whether you’re new to coin jewelry or a seasoned pro, Coin Cowboy Hats sell well at shows, make great conversation starters, and are fun to make. However, they can be challenging – getting consistent results, getting a nice clean center dome, getting even brim folds with no scratching – this set makes it easy.Start by annealing your non-ferrous coin (this makes them workable), then clean and polish to your liking.Use the centering washer and steel ball bearings along with the new doming pucks (no need for a dapping block with this set) for a sharp / clean center dome, flatten the brim using the Delrin® Mini-Pucks, use the creaser aligner along with the crown creaser for a clean centered crease, then use the folding puck on your press to fold the brim evenly and consistently without scratching.** Here’s how to use the sets – ORIGINAL method: *Please Note: – This product assumes you have a torch for annealing, and a 1T arbor press (or greater, 6T press recommended). – Flattening the brim after doming is an important step – you’ll get the best results, and helps prevent damage to the folding pucks. – Coins shown not included.
